Ein Blick zurück auf die ersten 161 Tagen (Deutsch/español/english)

Seit 161 Tagen reise ich durch Südamerika und der grösste Teil meiner Reise liegt noch vor mir.

Ich besuchte schon verschiedenen wunderschöne Orte. Die Reise begann mit einem 10-wöchigen Sprachaufenthalt in Costa Rica. In dieser Zeit bereitete ich mich sprachlich auf die kommende Reise vor.

Ich lernte viele neue Freunde und eine neue Kultur kennen. Diese unterscheidet sich sehr von der bisher gekannten. Ich erlebte die Leute viel offener und hilfsbereiter. Sie müssen mit weniger materiellen Gütern auskommen und sind gleichzeitig sehr herzlich. Ausserdem habe ich in Costa Rica ein Spanischniveau erreicht, welches mir sicherlich auf der ganzen Reise weiterhilft. Nach Costa Rica ging es für mich weiter mit dem Katamaran von Panama nach Kolumbien. Auch diese Überfahrt war ein einmaliges Erlebnis, weil ich auf dem Schiff sehr viele nette Personen kennengelernt habe und gleichzeitig durch die Karibik gesegelt bin. Ich sah eine Natur, welche ich vorher nur erträumt habe, weisse Sandstrände und Palmeninseln und viele mehr. In Kolumbien selber bin ich dann mit Gianni und Gioia 1 1/2 Monate durch das ganze Land gereist, von Cartagena bis Palomino und von Medellín nach Cali. Es war ein wunderschöner Abschnitt meiner Reise, mit Personen, mit welchen ich jederzeit wieder reisen würde. Danach war es schon Zeit für ein weiteres Highlight, die Galapagosinseln, welche ich mit Gianni besuchte. Wir verbrachten 12 Tage auf den verschiedenen Inseln und ich will an dieser Stelle festhalten, dass dies bis zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt mit Abstand die schönsten Tage meiner Reisen waren. Die Tierwelt und auch die Natur sind dort einmalig. Strände, Riffe, Fische, Haie, Schildkröten und Lebensglück pur. Leider trennten sich dann die Wege von mir und Gianni, ich ging weiter auf das Festland Ecuadors und er flog nach Chile. Auf dem Festland von Ecuador besuchte ich noch den Quilotoa Vulkankrater, Quito und Mindo. Danach flog ich weiter nach Argentinien, wo ich Kolja wiedersah, den ich bereits bei der Überfahrt von Panama nach Kolumbien kennengelernt habe. Wir haben bereits zwei Wochen in Buenos Aires zusammen verbracht. In der bisherigen Zeit haben wir einen grossen Teil der Stadt besichtigt, gingen auf Märkte und in Museen und an den Wochenenden zu diversen Fussballspielen, welche zu meinen Highlights in Buenos Aires gehören. Und schon sind die ersten 161 Tage vorbei und die nächsten 300 Tage stehen an. Wie sehen wohl meine weiteren Pläne aus?

Zuerst werde ich noch 1–2 Monate durch Argentinien reisen. Die Hauptziele sind die Insel Valdez und der Norden Argentiniens, wo die Iguazú Wasserfälle warten. Weiter geht es dann mit einem kurzen Aufenthalt in Brasilien, wo ich sehr gerne die Bootsfahrt von Manaos nach Peru machen würde (Amazonas). In Peru werde ich dann ca. 1–2 Monate sein, bis ich dann meine Mutter Mitte August in Buenos Aires treffe. Sie und ich werden zusammen 9 Wochen durch Chile und Argentinien reisen, Hauptziel Patagonien und der Norden Chiles. Danach wird mich meine Mutter wieder verlassen und ich werde zwei Monate durch Mittelamerika reisen, was auch voraussichtlich die letzte Etappe ist auf meiner Reise sein wird. Weihnachten 2023 möchte ich gerne mit meiner Familie verbringen, vielleicht geht es aber danach wieder weiter....

I have been traveling through South America for 161 days and most of my journey is still ahead of me.

I have already visited several beautiful places. The trip started with a 10-week language stay in Costa Rica. During this time I prepared myself linguistically for the upcoming trip.

I met many new friends and a new culture. This culture is very different from the one I knew before. I experienced the people much more open and helpful. They have to get along with less material goods and at the same time they are very cordial. In addition, I reached a level of Spanish in Costa Rica that will certainly help me on the whole trip. After Costa Rica, I continued my journey by catamaran from Panama to Colombia. This crossing was also a unique experience because I met a lot of nice people on the ship and at the same time I sailed through the Caribbean. I saw a nature, which I have only dreamed of before, white sandy beaches and palm islands and many more. In Colombia itself I traveled with Gianni and Gioia for 1 1/2 months through the whole country, from Cartagena to Palomino and from Medellín to Cali. It was a wonderful part of my trip, with people I would travel with again anytime. After that it was time for another highlight, the Galapagos Islands, which I visited with Gianni. We spent 12 days on the different islands and I want to state here that these were by far the most beautiful days of my travels until now. The wildlife and also the nature are unique there. Beaches, reefs, fish, sharks, turtles and pure happiness. Unfortunately, then the ways of me and Gianni separated, I went on to the mainland of Ecuador and he flew to Chile. On the mainland of Ecuador I visited the Quilotoa volcano crater, Quito and Mindo. Afterwards I flew further to Argentina, where I met Kolja again, whom I already met during the crossing from Panama to Colombia. We already spent two weeks together in Buenos Aires. In the time so far we have visited a large part of the city, went to markets and museums and on the weekends to various soccer games, which are among my highlights in Buenos Aires. And already the first 161 days are over and the next 300 days are coming up. How do my further plans look like?

First I will travel through Argentina for 1-2 months. The main destinations are the island of Valdez and the north of Argentina, where the Iguazú waterfalls are waiting. Then I will continue with a short stay in Brazil, where I would love to do the boat trip from Manaos to Peru (Amazon). In Peru I will be for about 1-2 months until I meet my mother in Buenos Aires in the middle of August. She and I will travel together for 9 weeks through Chile and Argentina, main destination Patagonia and the north of Chile. After that, my mother will leave me again and I will travel through Central America for two months, which will probably be the last leg of my journey. Christmas 2023 I would like to spend with my family, but maybe it will go on again after that....

Llevo 161 días recorriendo Sudamérica y aún me queda por delante la mayor parte de mi viaje.

Ya he visitado varios lugares hermosos. El viaje empezó con un viaje de 10 semanas a Costa Rica para estudiar idiomas. Durante este tiempo, me preparé lingüísticamente para el próximo viaje.

Hice muchos amigos nuevos y conocí una nueva cultura. Es muy diferente de la que conocía antes. La gente me pareció mucho más abierta y servicial. Tienen que arreglárselas con menos bienes materiales y, al mismo tiempo, son muy cálidos. Además, en Costa Rica alcancé un nivel de español que sin duda me ayudará en todo el viaje. Después de Costa Rica, continué mi viaje en catamarán desde Panamá hasta Colombia. Esta travesía también fue una experiencia única, porque conocí a mucha gente agradable en el barco y navegué por el Caribe al mismo tiempo. Vi una naturaleza con la que antes sólo había soñado, playas de arena blanca e islas con palmeras y mucho más. En Colombia viajé con Gianni y Gioia durante un mes y medio por todo el país, de Cartagena a Palomino y de Medellín a Cali. Fue una parte maravillosa de mi viaje, con gente con la que volvería a viajar en cualquier momento. Después llegó el momento de otro punto culminante, las Islas Galápagos, que visité con Gianni. Pasamos 12 días en las distintas islas y me gustaría decir que fueron, con diferencia, los mejores días de mi viaje hasta ahora. La fauna y la naturaleza son únicas. Playas, arrecifes, peces, tiburones, tortugas y pura felicidad. Por desgracia, Gianni y yo nos separamos, yo me fui a Ecuador continental y él voló a Chile. En Ecuador continental visité el cráter del volcán Quilotoa, Quito y Mindo. Luego volé a Argentina, donde volví a encontrarme con Kolja, a quien ya había visto en la travesía de Panamá a Colombia. Ya hemos pasado dos semanas juntos en Buenos Aires. En el tiempo que hemos pasado juntos, hemos visitado gran parte de la ciudad, hemos ido a mercados y museos y, los fines de semana, a varios partidos de fútbol, que están entre mis momentos estelares en Buenos Aires. Y ya han pasado los primeros 161 días y vienen los próximos 300. Cuáles son mis planes de futuro?

En primer lugar, viajaré por Argentina durante otros 1-2 meses. Los destinos principales son la isla de Valdez y el norte de Argentina, donde me esperan las cataratas de Iguazú. Luego continuaré con una breve estancia en Brasil, donde me encantaría hacer el viaje en barco desde Manaos a Perú (Amazonas). Después estaré en Perú unos 1-2 meses hasta que me reúna con mi madre en Buenos Aires a mediados de agosto. Ella y yo viajaremos juntas por Chile y Argentina durante 9 semanas, con la Patagonia y el norte de Chile como destinos principales. Después, mi madre me dejará de nuevo y yo viajaré por Centroamérica durante dos meses, lo que probablemente será la última etapa de mi viaje. Me gustaría pasar la Navidad de 2023 con mi familia, pero tal vez continúe después de eso....
