In 7 Tagen mit dem Boot 1500 Kilometer durch den Amazonas D/S/E

Am 23. Mai in Manaus um 09:00 Uhr morgens. Ich warte gespannt auf den Beginn meines nächsten Abenteuers. Mit dem Boot werde ich in sieben Tagen, über eine Strecke von 1500 km auf dem Amazonas von Manaus nach Tabatinga fahren, mit einer Geschwindigkeit von 10-15 km/h.

Um 09:00 Uhr steige ich in den Bus, der mich am Hostel abholt. Er bringt mich zur Agentur, die sich am Hafen von Manaus befindet. Dort erwartet mich bereits der Agentur-Vertreter, der die letzten Formalitäten für mich erledigt und mir eine Hängematte besorgt.

Kurze Zeit später holt mich ein anderer Mitarbeiter der Agentur mit dem Boot ab und bringt mich zur Vitoria Regia, einem großen Transportschiff. Das Schiff bietet Platz für 200-300 Personen. Nach dem Einsteigen wurde mir mein Platz auf dem zweiten Deck zugewiesen. Ich suche mir einen geeigneten Platz aus und werde die nächsten sechs Nächte in meiner Hängematte dort schlafen. Ich achte darauf, möglichst weit vom Motor und den Toiletten entfernt, aber in der Nähe einer Steckdose zu sein. Dieser nützliche Ratschlag wurde mir von anderen Rucksacktouristen gegeben, die diese Reise bereits gemacht haben. Gleichzeitig raten sie mir, viele Bücher und Netflix-Folgen herunterzuladen, da ich aufgrund der gemächlichen Fahrt viel Zeit haben werde in den nächsten Tagen.

Trotz all der Tipps hat mich niemand daran erinnert, Besteck und einen Teller mitzunehmen. Dank einer sehr netten und hilfsbereiten Familie, die mir den besten Platz auf dem Boot empfohlen hat, konnte ich mit einem Teller als improvisiertem Besteck essen.

Danach mache ich es mir in meiner Hängematte gemütlich. Am ersten Abend habe ich noch ein Paar aus Europa kennengelernt, er ist Franzose und sie ist Italienerin. Wie es auf Reisen so ist, hat sich unsere Gruppe schnell erweitert. Ein Kolumbianer gesellte sich ebenfalls zu uns. Gemeinsam haben wir diese Reise genossen.

Im Preis inbegriffen waren täglich drei Mahlzeiten, die auch geschmeckt haben. Die Grundlage der Mahlzeiten bestand aus Reis oder Nudeln, dazu gab es Fisch oder Fleisch. Täglich hatten wir die Möglichkeit, wenn die Crew Material in einem Dorf am Amazonas an Land brachte, an Land zu gehen. Diese Entladungen dauerten zwischen 30 Minuten und 12 Stunden. Wir wurden immer wieder von kleinen Booten mit Kindern begleitet, die darauf hofften, dass wir ihnen Essen oder Getränke zuwerfen. Freudestrahlend fingen sie die zugeworfenen Lebensmittel auf.

Trotz der langsamen Reise vergingen diese sieben Tage wie im Flug... Es waren wunderschöne und entspannte Tage. Ich habe die Fahrt auf dem Amazonas sehr genossen. Ich habe viel gelesen und war immer wieder von der atemberaubenden Natur beeindruckt.

Ich kann diese Tour nur weiterempfehlen. Sicher, es ist eine lange und ruhige Zeit, aber es lohnt sich!

In Tabatinga angekommen entschloss ich mich, am nächsten Tag weiter, mit einem Schnellboot nach Iquitos, Peru, weiterzufahren. So konnte ich noch einmal 18 Stunden lang den Amazonas geniessen. Von Iquitos fliege ich nun nach Lima.

1500 kilómetros por el Amazonas en 7 días en barco

El 23 de mayo en Manaus a las 09:00 de la mañana. Espero con impaciencia el comienzo de mi próxima aventura. En siete días, recorreré en barco una distancia de 1.500 km por el Amazonas, de Manaos a Tabatinga, a una velocidad de 10-15 km/h. Subo al autobús que me recoge en el albergue.

A las 09:00 subo al autobús que me recoge en el albergue. Me lleva a la agencia, que se encuentra en el puerto de Manaos. Allí ya me espera el representante de la agencia, que se encarga de los últimos trámites y me consigue una hamaca.

Poco después, otro empleado de la agencia me recoge en barco y me lleva al Vitoria Regia, un gran buque de transporte. El barco tiene capacidad para 200-300 personas. Tras embarcar, me asignan mi lugar en la segunda cubierta. Elijo un sitio adecuado y duermo allí en mi hamaca durante las seis noches siguientes. Me aseguro de estar lo más lejos posible del motor y los aseos, pero cerca de un enchufe. Este útil consejo me lo dieron otros mochileros que ya han hecho este viaje. Al mismo tiempo, me aconsejan que descargue muchos libros y episodios de Netflix, ya que tendré mucho tiempo en los próximos días debido al viaje tranquilo.

A pesar de todos los consejos, nadie me recordó que debía llevar cubiertos y plato. Gracias a una familia muy amable y servicial que me recomendó el mejor sitio en el barco, pude comer con un plato como cubierto improvisado.

Después, me pongo cómodo en mi hamaca. La primera noche conocí a otra pareja de europeos, él es francés y ella italiana. Como suele ocurrir cuando se viaja, nuestro grupo se amplió rápidamente. También se nos unió un colombiano. Juntos disfrutamos de este viaje.

El precio incluía tres comidas al día, que también eran sabrosas. La base de las comidas era arroz o fideos, acompañados de pescado o carne. Todos los días teníamos la oportunidad de bajar a tierra cuando la tripulación descargaba material en un pueblo del Amazonas. Estas descargas duraban entre 30 minutos y 12 horas. Nos acompañaban una y otra vez pequeñas embarcaciones con niños que esperaban que les arrojáramos comida o bebida. Radiantes de alegría, cogían la comida lanzada.

A pesar de la lentitud del viaje, estos siete días pasaron volando... Fueron días hermosos y relajantes. Disfruté mucho del viaje por el Amazonas. Leí mucho y siempre me impresionó la impresionante naturaleza.

Sólo puedo recomendar este viaje. Claro que es largo y tranquilo, ¡pero merece la pena!

Una vez que llegué a Tabatinga, decidí continuar al día siguiente, tomando una lancha rápida hasta Iquitos, Perú. Esto me dio otras 18 horas para disfrutar del Amazonas. De Iquitos ahora vuelo a Lima.

In 7 days by boat 1500 kilometers through the Amazon River

On 23 May in Manaus at 09:00 in the morning. I eagerly await the start of my next adventure. In seven days, I will travel by boat over a distance of 1500 km on the Amazon from Manaus to Tabatinga, at a speed of 10-15 km/h. I get on the bus, which picks me up at the hostel.

At 09:00 I get on the bus that picks me up at the hostel. It takes me to the agency, which is located at the port of Manaus. The agency representative is already waiting for me there, who takes care of the last formalities for me and gets me a hammock.

A short time later, another agency employee picks me up by boat and takes me to the Vitoria Regia, a large transport ship. The ship has room for 200-300 people. After boarding, I was assigned my place on the second deck. I choose a suitable spot and will sleep there in my hammock for the next six nights. I make sure to be as far away from the engine and toilets as possible, but close to a power socket. This useful advice was given to me by other backpackers who have already done this trip. At the same time, they advise me to download lots of books and Netflix episodes, as I will have plenty of time in the next few days due to the leisurely drive.

Despite all the tips, no one reminded me to take cutlery and a plate. Thanks to a very nice and helpful family who recommended the best place on the boat, I was able to eat with a plate as improvised cutlery.

Afterwards, I make myself comfortable in my hammock. On the first evening I met another couple from Europe, he is French and she is Italian. As it happens when travelling, our group quickly expanded. A Colombian also joined us. Together we enjoyed this trip.

The price included three meals a day, which were also tasty. The basis of the meals was rice or noodles, accompanied by fish or meat. Every day we had the opportunity to go ashore when the crew unloaded material in a village on the Amazon. These discharges lasted between 30 minutes and 12 hours. We were repeatedly accompanied by small boats with children who hoped that we would throw them food or drinks. Beaming with joy, they caught the thrown food.

Despite the slow journey, these seven days flew by... They were beautiful and relaxing days. I enjoyed the trip on the Amazon very much. I read a lot and was always impressed by the breathtaking nature.

I can only recommend this tour. Sure, it's a long and quiet time, but it's worth it!

Once I arrived in Tabatinga, I decided to continue the next day, taking a speedboat to Iquitos, Peru. This gave me another 18 hours to enjoy the Amazon. From Iquitos I now fly to Lima.
