Von der südlichsten Stadt der Welt, Ushuaia, zu den grössten Wasserfällen der Welt D/S/E

Schon sind 30 wunderschöne Tage in Patagonien, Argentinien vorbei. Viele unvergessliche Momente haben diese Zeit geprägt. Ein erstes absolutes Highlight dieser Tage war die Halbinsel Peninsula Valdez in Puerto Madryn. Dort konnte ich verschiedene Tierarten wie Lamas, Pinguine und als absoluten Höhepunkt sieben Orcas sehen. Danach ging es mit dem Bus weiter nach Bariloche. Entgegen aller Empfehlungen hat mich dieser Ort und auch die umliegende Landschaft nicht so sehr begeistert. Es war halt wie zu Hause: Berge, Seen und viele Touristen. Einige Tage später kam ich nach El Chalten. Die lange Busfahrt dorthin, sagenhafte 26 Stunden, haben sich mehr als gelohnt. Ich genoss die wunderschöne Landschaft und Natur von Patagonien. Am ersten Tag ging es um 4:00 Uhr morgens Richtung Fitz Roy. Um 8:00 Uhr genossen wir den einmaligen Sonnenaufgang. Genial! Die gesamte Wanderung dauerte 10 Stunden. Mein Knie wurde dadurch lädiert und die folgenden Wanderungen fielen kürzer aus, jedoch jede war sehr schön. Nach drei weiteren Tagen ging es weiter mit dem Bus nach El Calafate. Dort besichtigte ich den einmaligen Gletscher Perito Moreno. Wau! Auch das war einmalig und lässt sich schwer in Worte fassen. Diese extrem großen Eismassen und wie der Gletscher kalbte... Puh... Einen Tag später ging es weiter nach Puerto Natales. Ich hatte vor, den Torres del Paine Park zu bewandern, jedoch ließen das Wetter und mein Knie es nicht zu. So fuhr ich früher als geplant in die südlichste Stadt der Erde, Ushuaia. In wunderschönen 7 Tagen, trotz Knieschmerzen, genoss ich diese Stadt. Von den geplanten langen Wanderungen besuchte ich nur die Laguna Esmeralda. Als alternatives Programm unternahm ich eine ereignisreiche Bootstour und sah dabei viele Pinguine, Robben und zu meiner großen Überraschung vier Buckelwale.

So hatte ich coole Tage in Ushuaia. Die Landschaft gefiel mir. Ich wohnte in zwei verschiedenen Hostels und traf angenehme Personen. Am 18.04. ging es wieder Richtung Wärme. Dort habe ich die beiden Seiten der Iguazu Wasserfälle besucht und es war der Wahnsinn. Als absolutes Highlight habe ich noch einen Helikopterflug über die Wasserfälle gemacht. Es waren nur 12 Minuten Flugzeit, aber es war einmalig! Am 25.04.2023 geht es weiter nach Rio de Janeiro, wo ich ca. 3-5 Tage die Stadt besichtigen werde, bevor ich im Norden von Brasilien tauchen gehe. Und wo wird es mich wohl danach hinziehen?

Ya han pasado 30 maravillosos días en la Patagonia Argentina. Muchos momentos inolvidables han marcado este tiempo. El primer hito absoluto de estos días fue la Península Valdez en Puerto Madryn. Allí pude ver diversas especies animales como llamas, pingüinos y, como punto culminante absoluto, siete orcas. Después, continué en autobús hasta Bariloche. En contra de todas las recomendaciones, este lugar y el paisaje que lo rodea no me entusiasmaron demasiado. Era como en casa: montañas, lagos y muchos turistas. Unos días más tarde, llegué a El Chaltén. El largo viaje en autobús hasta allí, unas increíbles 26 horas, mereció la pena con creces. Disfruté del hermoso paisaje y la naturaleza de la Patagonia. El primer día, salimos a las 4 de la mañana hacia el Fitz Roy. A las 8:00 am disfrutamos de un amanecer único. ¡Brillante! Toda la caminata duró 10 horas. Mi rodilla estaba dañada por esto y las siguientes caminatas fueron más cortas, pero cada una fue muy hermosa. Después de tres días más, continué en autobús hasta El Calafate. Allí visité el singular glaciar Perito Moreno. ¡Guau! Eso también fue único y difícil de explicar con palabras. Estas masas de hielo extremadamente grandes y la forma en que el glaciar se calcaba... Uf... Un día después, seguimos hacia Puerto Natales. Había planeado hacer senderismo por el Parque Torres del Paine, pero el tiempo y mi rodilla no me lo permitieron. Así que me fui a la ciudad más austral del planeta, Ushuaia, antes de lo previsto. En 7 maravillosos días, a pesar del dolor de rodilla, disfruté de esta ciudad. De las largas caminatas previstas, sólo visité la Laguna Esmeralda. Como programa alternativo, hice una excursión en barco y vi muchos pingüinos, focas y, para mi gran sorpresa, cuatro ballenas jorobadas.

Pasé días muy agradables en Ushuaia. Me gustó el paisaje. Me alojé en dos albergues diferentes y conocí a gente agradable. El 18.04. volví hacia el calor. Allí visité los dos lados de las cataratas de Iguazú y fue increíble. Como punto culminante, tomé un vuelo en helicóptero sobre las cataratas. Fue sólo un vuelo de 12 minutos, ¡pero fue único! El 25.04.2023 me voy a Río de Janeiro, donde pasaré de 3 a 5 días visitando la ciudad antes de irme a bucear al norte de Brasil. Y adónde crees que iré después?

Already 30 wonderful days in Patagonia, Argentina are over. Many unforgettable moments have marked this time. A first absolute highlight of these days was the Peninsula Valdez in Puerto Madryn. There I could see different animal species like llamas, penguins and as an absolute highlight seven orcas. Afterwards I continued by bus to Bariloche. Contrary to all recommendations, this place and also the surrounding landscape did not inspire me that much. It was just like at home: mountains, lakes and many tourists. A few days later I arrived in El Chalten. The long bus ride there, a fabulous 26 hours, was more than worth it. I enjoyed the beautiful landscape and nature of Patagonia. On the first day we started at 4:00 am towards Fitz Roy. At 8:00 am we enjoyed the unique sunrise. Brilliant! The whole hike took 10 hours. My knee was damaged by this and the following hikes were shorter, but each one was very nice. After three more days I continued by bus to El Calafate. There I visited the unique glacier Perito Moreno. Wow! This was also unique and hard to put into words. These extremely large ice masses and how the glacier calved.... Phew... One day later we went on to Puerto Natales. I had planned to hike Torres del Paine Park, but the weather and my knee did not allow it. So I went earlier than planned to the southernmost city on earth, Ushuaia. In wonderful 7 days, despite knee pain, I enjoyed this city. From the planned long hikes I visited only the Laguna Esmeralda. As an alternative program I took an eventful boat tour and saw many penguins, seals and to my great surprise four humpback whales.

So I had cool days in Ushuaia. I liked the landscape. I stayed in two different hostels and met pleasant people. On 18.04. I went again towards the warmth. There I visited both sides of the Iguazu Falls and it was insane. As an absolute highlight I took a helicopter flight over the falls. It was only 12 minutes flight time, but it was unique! On 25.04.2023 I will go to Rio de Janeiro, where I will visit the city for 3-5 days before I go diving in the north of Brazil. And where will I probably be drawn to after that?
