2025, Zwischen Wildnis, Wundern und Wachstum, Between Wilderness, Wonder and Growth, Entre la naturaleza salvaje, las maravillas y el crecimiento

Das Jahr neigt sich langsam dem Ende zu – und was für eines es war.2025 war persönlich wie auch fotografisch absolut aussergewöhnlich. Ich durfte unglaubliche Länder bereisen, besondere Orte entdecken und Momente erleben, die man nicht planen kann – nur fühlen.

Gestartet hat das Jahr in Suriname mit einer zweiwöchigen Reise durch Suriname und Französisch-Guayana. Länder fernab des Massentourismus, reich an Kultur und mit einer beeindruckenden Artenvielfalt. Riesenschildkröten, Flussdelfine, Faultiere, Schlangen – und als absolutes Highlight der sagenumwobene Cock of the Rock. Ein perfekter Start ins Jahr.

Danach ging es für mich alleine weiter in den Pantanal nach Brasilien. Dort folgte ein Highlight auf das nächste. Die nahe Begegnung mit einem Jaguar-Weibchen schenkte mir einen Moment fürs Leben. Tukane, Kaimane und eine Natur, die einem den Atem raubt – pure Wildnis.

Weiter führte mich der Weg nach Argentinien, für einen Monat auf die Península Valdés, zu den Orcas. Danach buchte ich eigentlich meinen Heimflug für eine dreimonatige Reisepause in der Schweiz … eigentlich. Denn kurz darauf packte ich erneut meine Koffer.

Gemeinsam mit meinem Papa ging es auf eine 12-tägige Safari nach Uganda – ein absolutes Highlight. Gorillas, Leoparden, Elefanten, Giraffen, Nashörner und so vieles mehr. Momente, die tief unter die Haut gehen.

Nach weiteren eineinhalb Monaten zu Hause begann die grosse Fotoreise. Zuerst Peru: Machu Picchu, Huaraz und Lima. Und dann erneut Südamerika:Pantanal, Torres del Paine und die Península Valdés – die drei Superräuber des Kontinents.Sechs Tage beim Jaguar.Drei Tage mit dem Puma.Vier Tage mit den Orcas.

Eine unvergessliche Zeit mit meinen Eltern, über 100 Tierarten und einzigartige Begegnungen.

Das Jahr lasse ich nun in Buenos Aires ausklingen, bevor es im Januar weiter nach Zentralamerika geht – und im März nochmals an den südlichsten Ort der Welt.

2025 war einzigartig, wunderschön und unglaublich lehrreich. Ich bin jeden Tag gewachsen, habe das Leben genossen und mich selbst besser kennengelernt. Ich blicke nach vorne und weiss: Neue Abenteuer warten bereits.

Drei grosse stehen schon fest.Der schönste Vogel der Welt will gefunden werden.Die Pinguine können nicht ohne mich – und sie möchten meine Schwester kennenlernen.Und im nächsten November beginnt ein sechstägiges Abenteuer, das wohl das grösste Highlight meiner vierjährigen Reise werden wird.

The year is slowly coming to an end — and what a year it has been.2025 was extraordinary, both personally and photographically. I was lucky enough to travel to incredible countries, discover remote places, and experience moments you simply cannot plan — only feel.

The year began in Suriname with a two-week journey through Suriname and French Guiana. Destinations far from mass tourism, rich in culture and wildlife. Giant turtles, river dolphins, sloths, snakes — and the absolute highlight: the legendary Rock of the Rock. The perfect start.

From there, I continued solo into the Pantanal in Brazil. One highlight followed the next. A close encounter with a female jaguar gifted me a moment for life. Toucans, caimans, endless wilderness — pure magic.

Next came Argentina, spending a full month on the Península Valdés with the orcas. I then booked my flight home for what was supposed to be a three-month break in Switzerland… supposedly. Shortly after, I packed my bags again.

Together with my dad, I traveled to Uganda for a 12-day safari — absolutely mind-blowing. Gorillas, leopards, elephants, giraffes, rhinos, and countless unforgettable moments.

After another month and a half at home, the big photography journey began. First Peru — Machu Picchu, Huaraz, and Lima. Then back to South America for the ultimate trio:Pantanal, Torres del Paine, and Península Valdés.Six days with jaguars.Three days with pumas.Four days with orcas.

An unforgettable time with my parents, over 100 animal species, and once-in-a-lifetime encounters.

I am ending the year in Buenos Aires, before heading to Central America in January — and back to the southernmost place on Earth in March.

2025 was unique, beautiful, and deeply educational. I grew every single day, learned a lot about myself, and lived life to the fullest. I look ahead knowing that new adventures are already waiting.

Three big ones are already planned.I still need to find the most beautiful bird in the world.The penguins can’t live without me — and they want to meet my sister.And next November, a six-day expedition begins that might become the biggest highlight of my four-year journey.

El año llega poco a poco a su fin — y qué año ha sido.2025 fue extraordinario, tanto a nivel personal como fotográfico. Tuve la suerte de viajar por países increíbles, descubrir lugares remotos y vivir momentos que no se pueden planear, solo sentir.

El año comenzó en Surinam, con un viaje de dos semanas por Surinam y Guayana Francesa. Destinos lejos del turismo masivo, llenos de cultura y con una biodiversidad impresionante. Tortugas gigantes, delfines de río, perezosos, serpientes — y como gran momento, el legendario Rock of the Rock.

Después continué solo hacia el Pantanal en Brasil. Un momento inolvidable tras otro. El encuentro cercano con una hembra de jaguar me regaló un recuerdo para toda la vida. Tucanes, caimanes y una naturaleza salvaje y pura.

El siguiente destino fue Argentina, donde pasé un mes en la Península Valdés junto a las orcas. Luego reservé mi vuelo de regreso a Suiza para una pausa de tres meses… o eso pensaba. Poco después, volví a hacer la maleta.

Junto a mi padre viajé a Uganda para un safari de 12 días — simplemente espectacular. Gorilas, leopardos, elefantes, jirafas, rinocerontes y muchísimos momentos inolvidables.

Tras un mes y medio en casa, comenzó el gran viaje fotográfico. Primero Perú: Machu Picchu, Huaraz y Lima. Luego, el gran regreso a Sudamérica:Pantanal, Torres del Paine y la Península Valdés.Seis días con jaguares.Tres días con pumas.Cuatro días con orcas.

Un tiempo inolvidable junto a mis padres, más de 100 especies animales y experiencias únicas.

El año lo termino en Buenos Aires, antes de viajar a Centroamérica en enero y regresar en marzo al lugar más austral del mundo.

2025 fue único, hermoso y muy enriquecedor. Crecí cada día, aprendí mucho sobre mí mismo y viví intensamente. Miro al futuro sabiendo que nuevas aventuras ya me esperan.

Tres grandes ya están confirmadas.Todavía debo encontrar al ave más hermosa del mundo.Los pingüinos no pueden vivir sin mí — y quieren conocer a mi hermana.Y en noviembre comienza una expedición de seis días que probablemente será el mayor momento de mis cuatro años de viaje.
